Key Grammar Areas to Focus On
Subject-Verb Agreement
Remember: third-person singular present tense adds -s: "She writes" (not "She write"). Plural subjects don't add -s: "They write" (not "They writes").
Countable vs. Uncountable Nouns
Countable: book/books, idea/ideas (use many, few, a number of)
Uncountable: information, research, evidence, advice (use much, little, an amount of)
Common mistakes: "informations" (wrong), "researches" (wrong), "an advice" (wrong)
Commonly Confused Words
- Make vs. Do: "Make" = create something new. "Do" = perform an action.
- Say vs. Tell: "Say" = speak words. "Tell" = communicate to someone specific.
